Government of Pakistan, Finance Division (Expenditure Wing) O.M/ Notification No. F.4(3)R-4/2011 dated 28-07-2016
Finance Division is directed to state that it has been decided to enforce following Austerity/Economy Measures for Financial Year 2016-17 with immediate effect:-
- There will be a complete ban on purchase of all types of vehicles both for current as well as development expenditure except operational vehicles of law enforcing agencies for which NOC from Finance Division would be required.
- Creation of new posts will be banned except those required for development projects and approval by the competent authority.
- Entitlement of periodical, magazines etc of all officers will remain restricted to only one daily newspaper.
- Serving official lunches/dinners should be restricted.
- Principal Accounting Officer (PAO) will ensure rationalization of utility bill while remaining within the available budget as no re-appropriation will be authorized from/to head ‘utilities’.
