After Court Case ….. Govt of Pakistan, Finance Division (Regulation Wing) issued the
U.O. No.F.9(7)R-I/2014-937/2015 dated 19th Feb-2016
Establishment Division has submitted Summaries on the following issues for the approval of Prime Minister:-
- i) Up-gradation of Ministerial Posts
- ii) Up-gradation of the posts of Khateeb/Moazzins/Khadim working mosques under Auqaf Directorate, ICT
2. As per this U.O letter Prime Minister has been pleased to approve the proposal in both the cases with following directions:-
- a) Establishment Division Shall coordinate with Finance Division as well as line Ministries at the time of formulation of budget proposals for 2016-17 to ensure allocation of necessary resources for the purpose.
- b) The subject up-gradtion may be considered in the budget proposal for the financial year 2016-17 alongwith proposal for up-gradation of Ministerial posts as agreed upon in the meeting of Secretaries of Finance Division, Law & Justice Division and Establishment Division.
3. The above proposal would be re-submitted to the Prime Minister for formal approval after allocation of necessary resources for the purpose. The financial impact for both the proposal relating to up-gradation of Ministerial staff and up-gradation of Khateeb/Moazzins/Khadim involved an estimated expendiure of Rs. 5 billion per annum (as worked out by Financial Monioring Specialist).
4. Finance Minister has desired that the case may please be discussed with him as part of budget proposal for 2016-17.
