AMENDMENT IN FEDERAL EMPLOYEES BENEVOLENT FUND & GROUP INSURANCE RULES-1972 W.E.F. 1ST DECEMBER, 2013 (REVISED RATES OF GROUP INSURANCE FOR FEDERAL GOVT. However the revised rates of Sum Assured on Death during service and Lump sum grant on Invalid Retirement shall be admissible to Non-Gazetted Federal Government Employees (BPS-01 to BPS-16) wef 01-07-2014 subject to receipt of contribution from the Finance Division at revised rates in respect of such employees. There has been made the following amendments in Rule 6(A) and 23 of the FEBF &GI Rules-1972. The minimum rate of Sum Assured on death has been raised to Rs. 350,000/- with the maximum of Rs. 1,000,000/- as per column (4) of the Eighth Schedule (Annexure-A). The minimum rate of Lump sum grant on invalid retirement has been raised to Rs. 150,000/- with the maximum of Rs. 390,000/- as per column 3 of Ninth Schedule (Annexure-B) The rate of monthly contribution towards Group Insurance Fund has been raised as per column 3 of Eight Schedule (Annexure-A) The Eighth Schedule (Group Insurance) The rates of contribution to the Group Insurance Fund and amount of sum assured wef 1st December 2013 is as under Download Complete orders in PDF Format

EDUCATIONAL STIPENDS FOR OUTSTANDING CHILDREN OF THE FEDERAL GOVT EMPLOYEES Establishment Division, Federal Employees Benevolent & Group Insurance Funds Circular No. 18-22/Act-Amdt/Plan/2013 dated 16-12-2013 Revised Amount of Stipends and percentage of marks with effect from 1st December 2013. The detail of the same is as under:

Category-I Intermediate 60% (for the children ofEmployees in BPS-01 to BPS-10 or equivalent)70% (For the Children ofEmployees in BPS-11 & above or equivalent) 20,000/- Category-II Graduation 70% 24,000/- Category-III Masters 70% 30,000/- Category-IV Professionals 70% 40,000/- The aforesaid revised rates of Educational Stipends shall be admissible to the Federal Government Non-Gazetted Employees (BPS-01 to BPS-15 or equivalent) from 01-07-2014 on receipt of contribution at the revised rates in respect of such employees from the Finance Division.

Notification of Amendment/Addisions in Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules-1972: Establishment Division No. F.No.5-15-2011-Admn-II dated 3rd October 2013 Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division has issued Notification No. F.No.5-15-2011-Admn-II dated 3rd October 2013 regarding Notification of Amendment in Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules-1972 (II of 1969), the Federal Govt is pleased to direct that the following further amendment/additions shall be made in Federal Employees Benevolent Fund & Group Insurance Rules-1972, namely:- 2- in the aforesaid Rules. In Rule-6, after sub-para (4), the following new sub-rul (5) shall be added, Sub-Rule )5): Every Employee shall pay a monthly subscription to the Benevolent Fund, in terms of section 12 (c) at the rates specified in column (4) of the Seventh Schedule and monthly Benevolent Grant in terms of section 13 (3) shall be paid in accordance with the scale prescribed in column (5) of the Seventh Schedule, with effect from 01-07-2013
