  Islamabad High Court decide the up-gradation case of Assistant BPS-14 to BPS-16 and Assistant Incharge BS-15 to BPS-16 on 31st January, 2012. Although the Islamabad High Court has already decided the case of up-grading for the post of "Assistant" in the case of Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Javed vide its judgement dated April 11, 2011. The Crl.Org filed by Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Javed on the ground of discrimination and violation of fundamental rights of a citizen of Pakistan under Article 25 of the Constitution and also held that non-implementation for any reason would tantamount to disobedience and violation of the judgement which would not be legal, sources maintained.

Contempt of Court case in Islamabad High Court
24-09-2012 Hearing in ISB High Court Up-gradation of Assistant BS-14 to BS-16::  Islamabad High Court Hearing:: 24th Sept 2012 at 2:PM :: The Secretary Finance Mr. Wajid Rana and Ex-Secy. Finance Dr. Waqar attended the Court in person at 8:00am. Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan said to the Secretaries why Finance Division did not pass the up-gradation Notification to this effect and why not they attended the Honourable Court despite repeated notices. The Secy Finance submitted the "Maafi Naama" Application for acceptance of the unconditional apology (Read this») in written and told the Honorable Court that the up-gradation is not possible at this stage. The learned council for petitioners applied attested copies of such documents submitted by the Finance Division for challenge and decided to submit para-wise comments on behalf of the petitioners alongwith identical precedents of such up-gradation.
All Assistants are informed that the case is going in-line with the rules, procedures and policies of the Finance Division on merit. Please pray for the success of Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Javaid etc.
