1. What is the rate of Pension?

There is a formula to calculate the rate of pension but due to many variables, the rate varies for each pensioner .If the pensioner requires detailed information ,then he is referred to the respective pension payment section.


2. How much time is required to finalize pension claims?

This office tries to finalize pension claims in 7 seven working days provided the case is not parked or returned for some necessary documentation.


3. Why pension rate is different from other colleague having same rank?

The pension rate is different owing to different dates of commission , different years of service, different S.O.D and S.O.S.


4. Is disability factor added in monthly pension or not?

Disability factor is added in monthly pension because adhoc increases are allowed on disable element; therefore, we merge it with monthly pension and pay along with monthly pension.


5. Which is the most convenient mode of receiving monthly pension?

Direct Credit System. It allows you to receive your monthly pension directly in your account in any scheduled bank - no need to send any bills. This facility is not only convenient for our valued clients like you but it also enhances the efficiency of our payment accounting process.


6. How can I avail the facility of Direct Credit System (DCS)?

Fill the following documents available on this webpage:

a) Option form - DCS. You need to open a pension specific single account in any scheduled bank of your choice and get this form attested by the bank for verification of your bank account particulars. This is to be sent to us.

b) Indemnity bond - on Rs.20 stamp paper, to be attested by notary public and provided to your bank.

 This is a one-time requirement. After completion of this formality, your pension will be automatically credited to your bank account.


7. After switching-over to DCS, do I need to furnish life certificate to CMA (OP)?

No. However, after every six month, i.e. 10 th of March and 10 th of September of each year, you will have to provide a proof of your presence to the bank from where you draw your pension, i.e. submission of life certificate on the prescribed form (download from this website).


8. When is my commutation restored?

Under the existing regulations, if you retired on or before 30/11/01, the commuted portion of your pension is restored on the basis of your age index calculated at the time of initial grant of your pension. Check this figure in the pension payment authority issued to you or contact CMA (OP) for details.


9. Who is entitled to inclusion of 7% Cost of Living Allowance (CLA) in pension?

Inclusion of 7% CLA in pension is admissible only in case of pensioners who were in receipt of the said allowance at the time of their retirement and who had not availed the benefit of Revised Basic Scales, 2001. It includes pensioners who retired during the period, 01-July-95 to 30-Nov-01.


10. How can I get 7% CLA included in my pension?

In case you are eligible for 7% CLA in your pension, you simply need to furnish a claim to CMA (OP) and you will be entitled to receive the following:

  • Difference of commutation.
  • Arrears of pension due to inclusion of 7% CLA from the date of admissibility.
  • Intimation for revised rate of monthly pension.
