PTCL Pensioners had been deprived of increases in Pension and Medical Allowance since 2010 as per Government of Pakistan announcements.They had been fighting for their usurped right at all forums.Islamabad and Peshawar High Courts had already decided in PTCL Pensioners favour.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan in its historic judgement,dismissed all appeals filed by Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited on  and ordered that all the employees of T&T Department have the status of Civil Servant even after its privatization.They are entitled for all benifites announced by the Government of Pakistan from time to time.
Conclusion of Judgment :: For the foregoing reasons, we have come to conclusion that the respondents, who were the employees of T&T Department having retired after their transfer to the Corporation and the Company, will be entitled to the same pension as is announced by the Government of Pakistan and that the Board of Trustees of the Trust is bound to foolow such announcement of the Government of Pakistan in respect of such employees.
Congratulations to about fourty thousand  PTCL Pensioners across the country
PTET has curtailed upto 53% pension plus Medical Allowance of the PTCL Pensioners  for last five years.

All Pakistan PTCL Pensioners Action Committee will continue its efforts till the payment of all outstanding dues including Double pension,Cost of Living Allowance @ 7% and Revision of Pay Scales etc under the leadership of Mr.Ikramullah,Convener APPPAC

Judgment announced, in open Court on 17th March-2014 by Hon'able Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan
Islamabad High Court Division Bench on 17-03-2014 in a historic judgement has ordered PTET (Pakistan Telecom. Employees Trust) to pay all the increases in pension and Medical Allowance to PTCL Pensioners according to the Govt. of Pakistan notifications w.e.f FY 2010 to 2014.The Division Bench dismissed with cost all seven Intra Court Appeals (ICA's) filed by PTET/PTCL.
In other words, petition on behalf of a company would be competent only if it is accompained by a resolution passed by the Board of Directors and the same is mentioned in the petition as well. Needless to mention here, that this defect can not be cured even afterwards.
In view of the aforementioned facts, we find no force in these appeals and all the appeals are accordingly dismissed with costs.

This is a great news for 40,000 PTCL Pensioners across the country including 13000 widows. All Pakistan PTCL Pensioners Action Committee has demanded early implementation of the court orders.
